hello! i wanted to ask, since you are vegan, do you still shop leather products or check if the cosmetics you use was tested on animals? i was just wondering, not meaning to sound rude in any way

No that’s not rude at all! As I am mostly vegan for health reasons rather than a guilty conscience (although I do love animals and strongly disagree with the way they’re treated in slaughterhouses etc.) I do still wear leather, however I have been trying recently to stay away from brands that exercise cruelty to animals and animal testing. you seem like one of the most genuine people, you are so level headed and humble, and ridiculously smart. i'm so happy you are willing to share things about your life because you are truly an awesome person.

I took a while to answer this because I loved reading it in my ask box, this is truly one of the most lovely things anyone has ever said to me, thank you for that. X

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” —Anaïs Nin (via selfinspiration)

i know that you are not in lookbook anymore, but you are such a great photogrrapher and you have an amazing style,i think you'd have more chances if you back to lookbook,so everyone can see your good job!!!

Haha thank you, but I don’t care about how many comments or followers I receive based on how many social networking platforms I’m a part of. My blogs “popularity” isn’t ever a worry, I post what I like and what I’m proud of and would never wish to be a part of something I didn’t enjoy or believe in. X

Do you exercise?

I walk everywhere which I’ve decided counts as a full body work out. X

Feb 27, 2012
why did you become vegan? (:

I read a nutrition book about the benefits of veganism and decided to try it out as a “cleanse” but ended up loving it and so carried on with it. X

Feb 27, 2012
what do you use for your skin? (:

I’m quite random with my products but at the moment I’m using a cleanser by The Body Shop called “Cucumber Cleansing Milk” which I take off with a warm muslin cloth, followed by The Body Shop’s “Cucumber Water” toner and a random night cream by L’Oreal. In the morning I just splash my face with ice cold water and use sunscreen as moisturiser. X

what are your favourite books? i mean books that fascinated you so much that you had to finish them before you could do other things :) xx

Ohhhh quite a few on this list. What came to mind first were Fight Club, White Oleander, Lolita, Go Ask Alice, The Bell Jar, A Little History of the World, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, A Million Little Pieces, Tao Teh Ching, The Glass Castle, Just Kids, The Story of Art, Persepolis, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The House on Mango Street and at the moment The Book of Disquiet and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest are both keeping me entertained. Did you do an art foundation? Do you make art?

Yes I did my foundation in photography, and I haven’t done much painting or drawing since my boarding school but hopefully I can get back into it soon (: X

You recommended some book on veganism, could you tell me its name? And where do you find it easy to cook vegan and still get all the nutrients you need?

Of course, it’s called “The Beauty Detox Solution”. It explains the scientific side of veganism and about how your body can more effectively absorb nutrients from fruits, vegetables and nuts etc. then it can from meat and dairy products. My favourite website for vegan options however is 101cookbooks, which is where I get a lot of the recipes I use. X
